There Is a Place for You at the Table
Volunteer With Us
Every food box packed, truck unloaded, family welcomed, and garden row tended is made possible by caring volunteers. Give a few hours and help feed neighbors throughout rural North Central Florida.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors
Your Time Makes the Mission Possible
The Children’s Table is an independent, volunteer-powered rural food bank. Volunteers bring different ages, abilities, experiences, and talents—but everyone shares the same purpose: making sure our neighbors have food and are treated with dignity.
Food Distribution
Prepare the distribution area, welcome families, load vehicles, keep the line moving, and help make every visit respectful and organized.
Sorting & Packing
Sort donated food, inspect items, prepare boxes, organize supplies, and help our team get food ready for Bronson and our rural mobile routes.
Garden & Special Projects
Help in the teaching garden, organize work areas, assist with seasonal projects, support fundraisers, or share a skill that strengthens our work.

Come Ready for Hands-On Work
- Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.
- Dress for the weather. Much of our work is outdoors, and our barn and work areas are not climate controlled.
- Bring drinking water, especially during warm weather.
- Tasks may involve standing, bending, carrying, or lifting.
- Tell our team if you need a seated or lighter-duty assignment. We will do our best to find an appropriate way for you to help.
- Please sign in when you arrive so your volunteer hours can be recorded.
Tasks change from week to week depending on the food received and the needs of our distribution.

Helpful Information
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to register before volunteering on Monday?
No. Individual Monday volunteers may arrive at our Bronson location by 8:00 a.m. and sign in with our team. Groups and community-service volunteers should contact us in advance.
What kind of work will I do?
Assignments depend on that day’s needs. Work may include sorting food, packing boxes, preparing distribution areas, loading vehicles, helping families, organizing supplies, cleaning, or working in the garden.
Can children and teenagers volunteer?
Young people can be wonderful helpers. Please contact us before bringing children so we can confirm that appropriate work is available. Minors must remain with a responsible adult unless other arrangements have been approved.
Can you accommodate physical limitations?
Many tasks are active, but not every assignment requires heavy lifting. Tell our team about any limitations when you arrive, and we will do our best to match you with suitable work.
How are volunteer hours documented?
Volunteers should sign in and out so we have an accurate record of their service. If you need a school, agency, or community-service form completed, discuss the requirements with Stacey before beginning your hours.
Ready to Lend a Hand?
Come by Monday morning, bring a group, help in the garden, or contact us about another way to serve. Caring is our legacy—and volunteers carry it forward.
