Who decides whether I qualify for SNAP?
Florida’s Department of Children and Families reviews applications and determines eligibility and benefit amounts. Your household circumstances and current program rules affect the decision. Visit the official Florida SNAP page for current information.

SNAP is the food assistance program. EBT is the electronic card system used to provide approved benefits.

SNAP covers eligible grocery foods, including fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, dairy, bread, and cereals, as well as seeds and plants that produce food. Purchase restrictions can change. Check Florida’s official SNAP guidance for current rules.

Benefit applications and eligibility decisions are handled by the agency that operates each program. For SNAP application or account questions, contact Florida DCF at 850-300-4323. For questions about The Children’s Table food distributions, call (352) 486-6525.
